Quick Verdict
Most webinar platforms are just Zoom with a payment processor duct-taped to it. If you want actual leads and not just a recording nobody watches, you need one that handles registration pages, email sequences, and analytics without making you hire a developer. Demio and Livestorm are the two I’d actually bet on. WebinarJam still exists, somehow.
Demio ★★★★ (4/5) — cleanest registration flow Livestorm ★★★★ (4.5/5) — best analytics, worst pricing mood swings WebinarJam ★★ (2/5) — it works, technically Zoom Webinars ★★★ (3/5) — fine, just fine ClickMeeting ★★★ (3/5) — the beige Toyota Camry of webinars GoTo Webinar ★★ (2/5) — your dad’s webinar platform BigMarker ★★★★ (4/5) — genuinely underrated
I once ran a webinar that 340 people registered for and 11 showed up. Eleven. I sat there watching the attendee list like a guy waiting for a text back. The problem wasn’t the content — it was that my registration page took four clicks and a blood sacrifice to load, and my reminder emails went out at 3am because I never checked the timezone setting.
That was 2023. I’ve since burned roughly $1,800 testing platforms so you don’t have to. Some of them are great. Some of them made me want to throw my laptop into a lake.
Demio
Demio is what I recommend to anyone who wants a registration page that converts and doesn’t want to think about it. The "automated webinar" mode is the killer feature — you record once, and it plays like a live event with fake chat. Is that manipulative? A little. Does it work? My last automated run pulled 62 leads from 190 registrations, so yeah.
What I hated: the pricing tiers feel designed to punish you for growing. You hit 100 attendees and suddenly you’re paying double for basically nothing new. Also their support takes about 26 hours to reply, which is a long time when your webinar is in 3 hours.
Livestorm
Livestorm has the best analytics I’ve used. I can see exactly which minute people dropped off, which poll got the most clicks, and which CTA button actually converted. For lead gen, that’s everything. It integrates with basically every CRM I’ve tried, including one obscure one I forgot the name of.
The worst part? Pricing. It starts around $99/mo and they nickel-and-dime on attendee limits. I paid for a "starter" plan and got locked out of a session because I had 3 people over the cap. Three people. Also the interface has too many buttons.
WebinarJam
Ah, WebinarJam. The infomercial of webinar software. Every page screams at you about "6-figure launches" and the dashboard looks like it was designed in 2014 and never touched again.
It does work. Barely. The registration pages are ugly but functional, and the "hybrid" feature lets you mix live and automated. But the whole thing feels held together with tape. I once had a session where the audio dropped for 40 seconds and nobody told me until the Q&A. Cool. Real cool.
Zoom Webinars
Look, Zoom works. Everyone knows how to use it. But "Webinars" is a separate paid add-on on top of your regular Zoom plan, which is genuinely annoying. If you already pay for Zoom, you’re looking at another $79/mo just to unlock the webinar features.
The analytics are shallow — you get attendance data and that’s basically it. No real funnel tracking. Also the Q&A panel is a UX crime scene.
ClickMeeting
ClickMeeting is… fine. It’s the platform you use because your company already had a contract. Registration is straightforward, the whiteboard feature is nice for demos, and it doesn’t crash.
Downside: it looks like a 2016 WordPress theme and the automation is clunky. You can’t easily set up multi-step email sequences without jumping through hoops. It’s functional but joyless. Honestly, the worst part is how boringly reliable it is.
GoTo Webinar
GoTo Webinar is the platform your uncle uses to sell insurance. It works, it’s stable, it’s been around forever. And it feels like it. The interface hasn’t meaningfully changed since I first used it in 2018.
Registration pages are serviceable but ugly. Reporting is fine. The whole thing is fine. If "fine" is what you want, go for it.
BigMarker
BigMarker is the one nobody talks about and it’s genuinely good. You can build landing pages inside it, run evergreen and live, and the white-label option is solid if you’re an agency. Starting price is around $99/mo, which stings, but you’re getting a landing page builder, email tools, and webinar hosting in one.
Worst bit: the learning curve. I spent two hours on a Sunday trying to figure out where they hid the "add poll" button. It was in a dropdown called "Engagement Widgets." Of course it was.
Quick tangent: I ordered a cortado at a coffee shop last week and the barista asked me to repeat it three times, then charged me $6.50. Webinar pricing feels the same way. Demio wants $59/mo for their starter, Livestorm wants $99, BigMarker $99, and Zoom wants $79 on top of your existing plan. Meanwhile ClickMeeting is $30 and WebinarJam is $499/year, which is cute until you realize you get what you pay for.

FAQ
Q: Which webinar platform is best for lead generation in 2026? A: Livestorm if you can afford it and want real analytics. Demio if you want automated webinars that convert without babysitting.
Q: Is Zoom Webinars free? A: No. It’s a paid add-on on top of your regular Zoom plan, usually $79/mo. Annoying, I know.
Q: Can I run automated webinars on a budget? A: WebinarJam at $499/year is the cheapest option that actually works, but the UI will make you sigh. Demio’s $59/mo tier is the sweet spot.
Q: Do I need a CRM to make webinars work for lead gen? A: You need something to catch the leads. Livestorm and BigMarker sync natively. Demio and WebinarJam push to Zapier, which works but is a band-aid.
I use Demio for automated runs and Livestorm when a client wants real data. Everything else I’ve either canceled or keep around as a backup for the one time a year a client insists on Zoom because their IT guy said so. whatever.
